Antonio Gentile Bandstand
Help us celebrate 40 years of music. Dear Bandstand supporter — we have planned an exciting season of concerts for you, and we are seeking donations to support the 2026 Antonio Gentile Bandstand Summer Concert Series at Stage Fort Park.
Forty years on the harbor. On Father’s Day, June 15, 1986, the Herb Pomeroy Band played the inaugural concert. The bandstand was built that year to honor Anthony “Tony” Gentile, longtime Gloucester High School Band director; his former students raised the funds. Cape Ann Savings Bank sponsored that first concert.
A 2026 highlight: the Cape Ann Community Band’s “American Music: 250 Years Strong,” sponsored by Bank Gloucester and the Gloucester Cultural Council.
